Co-Director elections for next year
We are currently in the process of determing executive board positions for the next calendar year (upcoming Spring and Fall), including Co-Directors! Most of the board and the current Co-Directors are either going abroad or graduating. We would love to see underclassmen and other fresh faces as leaders of TSC.
If you have detailed questions about the Co-Director position, please contact either Katie Segal or Steph Krantz. Even if you feel like you are too unfamiliar with TSC, we still encourage you to apply. During the month of December you will have an apprenticeship with Katie and Steph, and for the entirety of your term, you will have a past director serving on the board as an advisor.
Please fill out this form by October 30th if you are interested. On the 31st, we will send out a list of all the candidates, and at the following exec board meeting, we will hold an election (which also happens to be election day!)

The Story of Bananas
Tufts Dining and Tufts Office of Sustainability are hosting “The Story of Bananas,” a cradle to grave look into bananas, modeled off of Annie Leonard’s educational series The Story of Stuff. Since bananas are the most popular fruit taken from the dining halls and eaten globally, this event seeks to educate the student base on the path of this particular fruit from farm to plate to compost heap.
There will be five table displays, a game (check off the different stations) with banana-themed prizes, and the gamut of banana-containing foods for dinner! There will also be a chocolate-dipped banana table to highlight the yummy-ness of bananas.
The event is this Wednesday, Oct. 24, from 5-8pm in Dewick. If you are interested in volunteering, please sign up here; volunteers will get a free banana-themed t-shirt, a free meal from Dewick, and the potential to receive a giant blow-up banana, or the grand prize, a pizza and cupcake party delivered to your doorstep!

Vigil hosted by SJSF
From Oct. 23-30, at the Government Center in Boston, Students for a Just and Stable Future is hosting the Vigil to End Climate Silence. The action is a 10-day, round-the-clock vigil to witness the damage already inflicted by climate change and to rally for a livable future. The vigil will be a visible, media-grabbing event with speakers, music, games (including climate twister), and a kids' day with face-painting and other activities. Come stand in solidarity with people who have been affected by the climate crisis, and raise awareness about fossil fuel subsidies. Sign up for a shift here.
